Which Teams Have Had The Most Heisman Finalists?

At Roughing the passer we love lists.  Especially lists no one has done.  We stumbled onto this one while watching the Heisman Trophy presentation.  It occurred to us that Ohio State QBs have almost become a fixture at these things.  Curious as to how many runners up teams have had over time, we realized there wasn’t really a list for that.

Now there is.  We went all the way back to 1935, when the thing started, and tallied them up.  We used the top 5 vote getters for each year, and were a bit surprised at what we found.  Any college fan will be able to guess the top few, but how many would guess that Princeton, Columbia, and Tulsa all have had more finalists than Virginia Tech and Washington?

So now, where there was no list, there is now.  Each team not only has a tally, but a list of all of the finalists.
