91. Georgia State (0-2)
Lost to North Carolina 59-17
You kind of had to feel bad for the Panthers. You knew the ‘Heels were gonna take last week out on them.
92. Troy (1-1)
Lost to Liberty 21-13
Valiant effort against the Flames, but couldn’t come through when it mattered.
93. Tulane (1-1)
Beat Morgan State 69-20
Apparently almost beating the #2 team in the country is like Red Bull. Really curious to see how this team does against Ole Miss.
94. Louisiana Tech (1-1)
Beat SE Louisiana 45-42
So the Bulldogs almost beat Mississippi State… and then almost lose to SE Louisiana. Make sense of that.
95. Tulsa (0-2)
Moral victories don’t count on paper, but the Golden Hurricane played OSU a whole lot tougher than most thought they would.
96. Colorado (1-1)
Lost to Texas A&M 10-7
The Buffs were so close… But you can’t win if you can’t score.
97. Utah State (2-0)
Beat North Dakota 48-21
The Aggies are a whole lot better than anyone expected two weeks in. That comeback against WSU was a thing of beauty, and they handled a decent North Dakota team… took a punch in the mouth, bounced back, and dominated. No, USU isn’t going to win the MWC. But they will surprise some folks.
98. UTEP (2-1)
Lost to Boise State 54-13
The Miners had a nice little bit of momentum coming into this week, but Boise just kind of kicked the hell out of that. UTEP did, for two weeks, have the best record in America.
99. Eastern Michigan (1-1)
Lost to Wisconsin 34-7
The Eagles played hard, but this was a clear example of difference in weight class.
100. Miami (0-2)
Lost to Minnesota 31-26
The Redhawks gave Minnesota everything they could handle.
101. Navy (0-2)
Lost to Air Force 23-3
Love and respect to our future sailors, but man… the Middies might not win a game this year.
102. Memphis (2-0)
Beat Arkansas State 55-50
Only 2 numbers matter… 115 and 1,360. Points and yards in this game. It was like watching ping pong.
103. Duke (1-1)
Beat NC A&T 45-17
That wasn’t even really a good bounce-back game. An FCS team with literally no passing game whatsoever went blow for blow with Duke for pretty much the entire first half. Not ok.
104. Vanderbilt (1-1)
Beat Colorado State 24-21
Commodores fans deserved this one after last week.
105. Oregon State (1-1)
Beat Hawaii 45-27
The Beavers needed that after the disappointing Purdue loss.
106. Syracuse (1-1)
Lot to Rutgers 17-7
At least the Orange won’t go winless in 2021.
107. South Alabama (2-0)
Beat Bowling Green 22-19
The Jaguars will still have the best record in college football next week. They won’t win a game after that, but it’s something.
108. Texas State (1-1)
Beat FIU 23-17
After a solid showing last week, the Bobcats pulled out a thrilling win this week. With a bad FCS team on deck, and a chance to build a bit of momentum… Texas State is going to surprise a few teams in conference play.
109. FIU (1-0)
Lost to Texas State 23-17
The Panthers actually played a good game against an improved Bobcats squad.
110. USF (0-2)
Lost to Florida 42-20
Honestly? A three TD loss to the Gators on the road ain’t a bad showing.
111. Central Michigan (1-1)
Beat Robert Morris 45-0
Another MAC team smashing an FCS team. Yawn.
112. Arizona (0-2)
Lost to San Diego State 38-14
The Wildcats give hope last week against BYU and then… that.
113. Middle Tennessee (1-1)
Lost to Virginia Tech 35-14
Guess that 50 ball they dropped last week really was just an anomaly.
114. ULM (0-1)
115. East Carolina (0-2)
This was a game the Pirates should have won; they had this thing in hand. But it was the Gamecocks who made the plays when it mattered.
116. Colorado State (0-2)
Lost to Vanderbilt 24-21
So. Vandy. And last week. This is so not a good football team.
117. Northern Illinois (1-1)
Lost to Wyoming 50-43
It really is surprising how much better NIU is this year.
118. Akron (0-2)
Lost to Temple 45-24
This one was disappointing. We really thought the Zips would win a game. Good news… FCS Bryant is in town. Akron will get their one win one way or another.
119. North Texas (1-1)
Lost to SMU 35-12
Not so mean this week. Mildly offensive, maybe?
120. New Mexico (2-0)
Beat New Mexico State 34-25
The Lobos are still undefeated! And the best team in New Mexico… Top of the world, Ma.
121. Rice Owls (0-2)
Lost to Houston 44-7
I know they weren’t going to win this game anyway, but I’m not sure I’ve ever watched a less excited football team.
122. Charlotte (2-0)
Beat Gardner Webb 38-10
The 49ers are 2-0, and cruising right along. Good chance this undefeated streak keeps going, too.
123. UNLV (0-2)
Lost to Arizona State 37-10
The Rebels were actually more competitive against ASU than we thought they’d be.
124. Kansas (1-1)
Lost to Coastal Carolina 49-22
It ended the way most Kansas games will this year, with the Jayhawks losing by a bunch. But they did go pretty much toe to toe with the Chanticleers up til half way through the 3rd quarter. When you suck, youo lean on moral victorries. Sidenote: Jason Bean was actually impressive at times.
125. New Mexico State (0-2)
Lost to New Mexico 34-25
The Aggies seem to be improving week to week.
126. Temple (1-1)
Beat Akron 45-24
Great win over Akron in the 2021 Charmin Toilet Bowl.
127. Old Dominion (1-1)
Beat Hampton 47-7
It was nice to see the Monarchs win. Probably won’t happen again this year, but it was nice.
128. Bowling Green (0-2)
Lost to South Alabama 22-19
The Falcons get one more crack at a win with Murray State on deck, but this is one Bowling Green should have won.
129. UConn (0-2)
Lost to Purdue 49-0
It seems like UConn and UMass will spent 2021 deciding which team is the worst of all time.
130. UMass (0-1)
Lost to Boston College 45-28
The biggest upset in week 2 was UMass scoring 4 TDs. Not against BC, but in 2021.
