61. Toledo (1-1)
Lost to Notre Dame 32-29
This is going to be one of those years in college football. We actually saw the Rockets d@mn near knock off Notre Dame. Hard to imagine that Toledo won’t dominate the MAC this year.
62. Western Michigan (1-1)
Beat Illinois State 28-0
The Broncos just look like a middle of the pack MAC team.
63. Cal (0-2)
Lost to TCU 34-32
If you would have told Cal fans the O would get it together this week they would have had to be optimistic against the Bears. Unfortunately, they left the D back in Berkley.
64. Fresno State (2-1)
Beat Cal Poly 63-10
Bulldogs cruise heading into what now looks like a surprisingly good match up against UCLA.
65. Southern Miss (1-1)
Beat Grambling 37-0
How is Frank Gore’s kid in college? Good bounce back game for the Eagles.
66. Ball State (1-1)
Lost to Penn State 44-13
The Cardinals were no match for PSU, and will have their hands full with Wyoming next week.
67. Nevada (2-0)
Beat Idaho State 49-10
The Wolfpack roll heading into K-State to face a team that just lost its QB.
68. FAU (1-1)
Beat Georgia Southern 38-6
The Owls were dominant in pretty much every phase of the game against the Eagles.
69. Louisville (1-1)
Beat Easten Kentucky 30-3
Nice breather for the Cardinals before UCF comes to town and unloads on them.
70. Tennessee (1-1)
Lost to Pitt 41-34
Losing Milton hurt, but it wasn’t Hooker that lost this game. There were enough Vols miscues and missed opportunities for all to share.
71. South Carolina (2-0)
Beat ECU 20-17
Until the Pick 6 before the half, the Gamecocks were terrible. The did a few good things on D, but for the most part they just looked bad. But in the second half, they looked like a halfway decent football team… one question though. How is Juju McDowell only getting 11 carries?
72. Kansas State (2-0)
Beat Southern Illinois 31-23
Losing Skylar Thompson is devastating. How bad? They d@mn near lost to SIU. If he’s gone for the year it’ll be a long 2021 in Manhattan.
73. Maryland (2-0)
Beat Howard 62-0
It’s a good thing we all learned to say Tua’s name… his little brother is about to make us all use it a lot more.
74. Wyoming (2-0)
Beat Northern Illinois 50-43
The Cowboys found their offensive mojo again. They’ll need it with Ball State coming to town.
75. Western Kentucky (1-1)
Lost to Army 38-35
The Hilltoppers had more success against that Army D than expected.
76. Washington State (1-1)
Beat Portland State 44-24
The Cougars weren’t all that impressive against the Vikings, but that’s not really a surprise after last week.
77. Air Force (2-0)
Beat Navy 23-3
This was supposed to be a down year for Air Force, but they just keep doing what they do.
78. Illinois (1-2)
Lost to Virginia 42-14
Illinois played a fundamentally bad game; after two weeks of near respectability, the Illini come crashing back to earth. They were ineffective in pretty much every facet of the game.
79. Nebraska (2-1)
Beat Buffalo 28-3
The ‘Huskers get to feel like a decent football team… at least until the Sooners hang 60 on them next week.
80. Rutgers (2-0)
Beat Syracuse 17-7
Last week Rutgers surprised us all with offense. Now they have a D? If Schiano isn’t good at anything else, the guy can d@mn sure resurrect some Rutgers.
81. Marshall (2-0)
Beat NC A&T 44-10
The Herd continue to feed on lesser teams, Good chance they continue that trend against ECU…. the real test comes in a couple of weeks with App State coming to town.
82. Buffalo (1-1)
Lost to Nebraska 28-3
No in between for the Bulls. They’re either destroying inferior teams of getting destroyed by superior ones.
83. Georgia Tech (1-1)
Beat Kennesaw State 45-17
Tech bounces back (sort of) after tough loss to Northern Illinois.
84. Kent State (1-1)
Beat VMI 60-10
These MAC teams really do like putting up video game scores against FCS teams.
85. Hawaii (1-2)
Lost to Oregon State 45-27
Wasn’t this supposed to be a good D?
86. Arkansas State (1-1)
Lost to Memphis 55-50
Only 2 numbers matter… 115 and 1,360. Points and yards in this game. It was like watching ping pong. The Red Wolves just didn’t have enough firepower in the end.
87. Georgia Southern (1-1)
Lost to FAU 38-6
This game wasn’t even as competitive as the score looked.
88. Ohio (0-2)
Lost to Duquesne 28-26
Well this was nice. We had the chance last week to learn how ‘Duquesne’ is said. So now I know it’s “Did you guys seriously lose to (Doo’ Kane)?
89. San Diego State (2-0)
Beat Arizona 38-14
If the Aztecs can knock off Utah next week… and they might… they might have something going heading into conference play.
90. Purdue (2-0)
Beat UConn 49-0
Am I the only one who thinks Purdue might actually go into South Bend and beat the Irish?
