Western Michigan Broncos
2020 Record: 4-2
5 ⭐ ………. 0

The Broncos O was one of the best in the country; close to 500 ypg and 40+ points. The D was average… they boasted one of the most dominant lines in the country but somehow couldn’t stop anyone.
Losing the top receiver is a bit of a blow, but this is still going to be one of the most dynamic units in the country. The D returns almost everyone as well, and should be improved.
If Things Go Well
Don’t get excited; the stars would really have to align on this one. But any team that can score… and is this balanced… is a threat. Michigan and Pitt are both very average teams now, and there isn’t a team on the rest of the schedule they couldn’t beat.
If They Don’t
If the D doesn’t improve, 2021 will look alot like 2020. Lots of shootouts, enough blowouts of bad teams to keep them in the conversation, and losses to the good teams.
You can’t ignore an offense this good. The Broncos will knock off one of those two non conference teams, but should outscore most of the MAC. Likely a slip in conference, but still a legit contender in 2021.
