2020 Record: 3-7

4 ⭐………. 2
3 ⭐………. 14
The Yellow Jackets were affected by COVID as much as any team; 2020 was year two from the transition away from Tech’s outdated triple option offense. There was progress… they pounded some creampuffs. That may not sound like a big deal, but it was just the year before they were losing to The Citadel.
Year three will see Tech improved. but man… the schedule is brutal. With a year under his belt, Jeff Sims will be better. But so may questions! Who will he throw to? Can the D stop the run, and can they cut the turnovers down?
If Things Go Well:
The climb to respectability goes on. Not as many blowout losses. The D has to improve, and with all the scoring you’ll see in 2021 in the ACC, that might be a bit much to ask. But if Sims plays well, they could steal an upset somewhere along the line. A bowl is an outside shot, but this team would have to play well above expectations.
It They Don’t
If they don’t find some receivers or something resembling a run D, it will be a long year.
Bet on Sims improvement, but not the D.
