Taking Concept Helmets To A New Level

Advertisements

Concept helmets have become a labor of love for us; what began as us looking for helmets to use in our power rankings led us down a rabbit hole of sorts; We quickly discovered that there are more than a few people on the internet who try their hand at designing these things, and in truth it’s a blast. Not all of the ideas you find are good; some are terrible.

But some… really are cool. A team’s helmet and colors are a reflection of who that team is, and seeing different alternative ideas can be amazing.

What we’ve discovered recently are what’s apparently referred to as “Mash-ups”… combining two unrelated things. Which led us to this.

Below, you will find a series of pictures. Click the picture and you’ll be taken to what you see. You will find your favorite NFL team’s helmet, logo, and colors combined with things you have no doubt not considered; Everything from Family Guy to Star Wars to Marvel... more than a dozen all told.

Once you’ve seen a group, scroll to the bottom and you will find all of the links below; once you’re done seeing what would happen if Peter Griffin invaded the Patriots helmet, you can go right to the next page to see which marvel hero you’re team got mashed with.

We are not Graphics designers or artists. If you pick the helmets to pieces you will no doubt realize this. These are not professionally done. The colors may not be perfect, nor the designs. But you have to be willing to go a little bit Tin Burton with this one; suspend your disbelief, don’t bother asking why someone would combine NFL logos with Looney Tunes characters. Just see them for what they are… ideas.

Some turned out amazing. Some are virtual nonsense. Some are hilarious. Some may suck. But… they’re also fun. Take them with a grain of salt, not too seriously. It’s football. It’s a game; hell, have fun with it.

If you do enjoy, click the Roughing The Passer helmet at the end to follow us on Twitter; you’ll be notified when we drop something new; we’re working as we speak on College versions of what you’re about to see.

Til then, enjoy!
