1.Pittsburgh Steelers (7-0)

Beat Baltimore 28-24

After knocking down the Titans and Ravens in consecutive weeks, the Steelers are the Steelers again. The same punch you in the mouth Steelers they’ve been forever. And with that D, it’s hard to say there’s a single team out there… including the Chiefs… that’s better.

2.Kansas City Chiefs (7-1)

Beat New York Jets 35-9

Just another day at the office for Mahomes- another 400 yard, 5 TD day at the office. Yeah, it was against the New York (High School Football) Giants, but man, is it fun to watch the guy sometimes.

3. Seattle Seahawks (6-1)

Beat San Francisco 37-27

After falling from the ranks of the unbeaten last week against the Cardinals, it seemed the entire football world was watching for the ‘Niners to bring Seattle another step down the ladder. And there was Russel Wilson reminding us just who the hell he is.

4. New Orleans Saints (5-2)

Beat Chicago 26-23

If you’re any kind of football fan, you have to be excited for the Saints/ Bucs clash next weekend. The Saints struggled against the Bears, but they literally has no receiving corps. Both Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders look to return this week, and A Saints team that was just trying to stay afloat is 5-2, riding a 4 game win streak, and ready to take Tompa Bay down a notch.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-2)

Beat New York Giants 25-23

Were the Bucs looking past the Giants? Could be. It was just an odd week in the NFL. And more likely, the Giants simply exposed what we’ve all seen; there aren’t andy genuinely dominant teams in 2020. Everyone has weak spots. The Bucs, for example, will need to run the ball far better and contain Kamara or they’ll find themselves chasing the Saints.

7. Baltimore Ravens (5-2)

Lost to Pittsburgh 28-24

We learned this week without question that the AFC North no longer runs through Baltimore. The better D’s in the league have really begun to figure Lamar out; that’s how the NFL works. But the guy is just sick talented, and is already starting to evolve already. Side note: J.K Dobbins is going to be a star in this league.

8. Green Bay Packers (5-2)

Lost to Minnesota 28-22

There’s a lot of talk, especially after the Packers’ draft antics this year, that they need to pick up a WR before the trade deadline. And that’s a true statement. But the real problem is on the other side of the ball. The pass rush is garbage without sending extra people, which they can’t do because they can’t stop the pass. The run D is bad and getting worse; Dalvin Cook is good but he looked like Barry Sanders this week. Same old Pack… they go only as far as Aaron Rodgers will carry them. Aaron Jones return will help; at least they can outscore people with him in the lineup.

9. Buffalo Bills (6-2)

Beat New England 24-21

Bills fans were booking Super Bowl tickets 3 weeks ago, but back to back losses to the Titans and Chiefs and a closer than it should’ve been win over the Jets showed us they aren’t among the big dogs yet. But by beating the Pats… albeit a depleted Pats, they did show that they are now the big dogs of the AFC East.

10. Tennessee Titans (5-2)

Lost to Cincinnati 31-20

The Titans learned the same lesson the Bills did; they may have looked the part for a bit, but they are also not in that “big dog” category yet. Tannehill is suddenly very average again the last two weeks, and the D made Joey B look like anything but a rookie.

11. Indianapolis Colts (5-2)

Beat Detroit 41-21

The record looks good; 5-2, all even with the Titans. And no one seems to notice. Look closer, though, and you’ll find there’s a reason. Other than an ugly win against the bears, those wins have been against bad teams. And one of those two losses was the Jags’ lone win. The next four are against the Ravens, Packers, and Titans twice. They may very well lose every one of those games.

12. Chicago Bears (5-3)

Lost to New Orleans 26-23

Da Bears missed a golden opportunity against a Saints team with a receiving corps made up of guys you’ve never heard of. And it’s a game they should have won. In the end they, like the rest of the league, couldn’t contain Kamara, and while Foles wasn’t bad, his mistakes were killers.

50 million american jobs lost 10 million american jobs back

13. San Francisco 49ers (4-4)

Lost to Seattle 37-27

The ‘Niners could have made the NFC West a 3 team race with a win, but instead got sent home with their collective tails between their legs. The rest of the schedule is brutal; a loss to the Packers this week and even the wildcard scraps they’re now chasing will be unrealistic.

14. Los Angeles Rams (5-3)

Lost to Miami 28-17

There was one reason that Tua got the W in his first start; the first half by Jared Goff was literally one of the worst halves I’ve ever seen from a QB. It was almost comically bad, although Rams fans probably didn’t think so.

15. Las Vegas Raiders (4-3)

Beat Cleveland 16-6

It wans’t pretty, But Carr did what he had to to win. Jacobs looked like he did last year. When he runs for 75+ the Raiders are 4-0. Under 75… 0-3. Secret to Raiders success right there.

16. Cleveland Browns (5-3)

Lost to Las Vegas 16-6

I say it every week, and I’ll say it again this week; the Browns will never be genuine contenders with Baker Mayfield under center. Not that this one is all on him. Know what you do when you’re playing in a tornado? You run the damn ball. Feed your beast… And Kareem Hunt is a beast. The Raiders knew that. They fed Jacobs all day. And look what happened.

17. Miami Dolphins (4-3)

Beat L.A. Rams 28-17

All due respect to ‘Phins fans, but if I was one of you I’d still be pissed. Like The Packers trading up to draft Jordan stinkin Love Mad. (Which, as a Cheesehead, I still am.) What they did to Fitz sucked. And I saw nothing from Tua that showed me it was a good move. He had a couple of moments, but for the most part he looked like what he is… unprepared for the NFL. They won in spite of him, not because of him. That being said, the rest of the team was outstanding. (with a bit of gift wrapping from Goff in the first half.) With Fitz, this is a playoff team. You guys have my condolences.

18. Cincinnati Bengals (2-5-1)

Beat Tennessee 31-20

I genuinely can’t remember the last time I saw the Bengals dominate a good team. We might be talking Boomer and Icky. Any real football fan knows a great QB doesn’t just put up numbers and points, he makes the players around him better. This is mostly the same O that threw a party when they picked up a first down last year, and he has them balling.

19. Denver Broncos (3-4)

Beat L.A. Chargers 31-30

Maybe the Broncos are better than everyone thought? I realize giving up leads is kind of the Bolts thing this year, but that comeback was still a thing of beauty. People forget with all of these new potential hall of famers running around at QB that it wasn’t long ago people were talking about Drew Lock like he was ‘that guy.’

20. Carolina Panthers (3-5)

Lost to Atlanta 25-17

Thursday really was a crushing loss for the Panthers. 4-4 with CMC coming back and this was at least a playoff contender; at 3-5 that’s probably not going to happen.

21. Detroit Lions (3-4)

The Lions almost looked like a decent football team for almost a month. You knew they’d wake up and remember who they were at some point.

22. Atlanta Falcons (2-6)

Beat Carolina 25-17

It’s hard to say the Falcons look like a different team since the coaching change, although they are playing better. But this is what they do. Last 4 years over the first 8 games: 12-20. over the last 8 games: 18-6.

23. Minnesota Vikings (2-5)

Beat Green Bay 28-22

I hated this game, but I can’t say it surprised me. I could run for 100 against the Packers D. And I run the 40 in about 2 weeks. They did find a method for winning in 2020: Don’t let Cousins throw the ball.

24. Los Angeles Chargers (2-5)

Lost to Denver 31-30

Herbert had the O rolling this week… almost 500 yards. But to say this team just doesn’t close well drips in understatement. the D just disappears in the fourth quarter. If they didn’t this could easily be a 5-2 team.

25. Philadelphia Eagles (3-4-1)

Beat Dallas 23-9

The Iggles are without question the kings of the NFC east in 2020.

That being said, their performance this week would have been a loss against literally any other team in the NFL. 222 total yards and 4 TO’s leading to a 14 point lead just tells you how bad it’s gotten in Big D.

26. New England Patriots (2-5)

How far the mighty have fallen. Not just the Pats… Cam, Belichick… the whole crew. Hearing the coach make salary cap excuses was just… sad. The poor guy will just have to seek comfort in his 19 damn Super Bowl rings.
